I can't get to the library website through MyCCP. I get an error message.

This happens even though I went to the library website through MyCCP.

Answer

Hi-

I am sorry that you are having trouble accessing the library website from home.  This can usually be fixed with by either of the following methods (you do not need to do both)

  • Use a different browser.  (Try one you have not used recently.)  For example: Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Safari, Opera.

--OR--

  • Clear your browser's cache (*see link to instructions, below).
In some cases, clearing the browser cache is not enough; in this case, users should check any adblock software, and disable popup blockers, to make sure that the CCP library website is cleared.
Please note that the library website is composed of thousands of different sites, all of which may use multiple domains (for example, CCP uses ccp.edu and myccp.online).  So, it may be easiest to just disable your adblocker for the entire time that you are conducting research (you should encounter few or zero ads).

As a reminder, it is also essential to always access the library site via MyCCP.  Here are the steps:

  1. First, log in to MyCCP.
  2. Choose "Student Services" from the menu on the right
  3. choose "Library". Now you should be logged in correctly.

Once you are have logged in, and located the library site from MyCCP, then you can search the library collection in two different ways: 1) You can search via "Summon Search", which is the library's meta-search tool. This means that Summon searches all of our 150+ databases all at one time. --OR-- 2) You can search individual databases one at a time. While there are advantages to both methods, I usually recommend going with option #1 and searching with Summon Search.  Please ask us if you have any questions about how to continue from here!
